(LEED) green building rating systems. The USGBC is a
mission-driven, 501(c) 3 organization that provides

Established in 2008, the Green Building Certification
Institute (GBCI) is an independent, third-party organization
committed to ensuring precision in the design, development,

stand-alone, non-profit organization, administers the LEED
certification programs, as well as LEED Accredited
